The Koala Sleeve is a wearable sleeve designed for continuous blood pressure monitoring. Our goal is to provide a more complete picture of blood pressure over time in a format that is practical for everyday wear.
A sleeve. A controller. A connected app.
The planned system combines three components:
- A wearable sleeve that fits around the arm.
- A compact controller that operates the sleeve and transmits measurement data.
- A connected app that displays readings and trends.
The controller is intended to communicate with a compatible smartphone or smartwatch via Bluetooth. Planned features include a vibration alert for high blood pressure.
Looking beyond individual readings
Continuous monitoring could help reveal changes that occur between conventional measurements. The aim is to make those patterns easier to observe and review.
From concept to clinical validation
The Koala Sleeve is under development. The system described here represents the intended product design. Clinical studies are planned to evaluate its accuracy and suitability for medical use.
